Of German descent, Doctrine Dark was allowed to join the U.S. Special
Forces because of his outstanding credentials. He was under Guile
's command during a mission in Southeast Asia, when his division was
attacked by a unit led by Rolento. Dark was the only
survivor, and he woke up days later in a hospital.
Scarred physically and mentally by the incident, he held Guile responsible.
He set out to get his revenge on Guile, his humanity lost.
