"I'm still the best at what I do...."

Wolverine is a man who's past is a mystery. It is unclear just how old he is or where he came from. He goes by the name of Logan, and was first noticed as an agent of the Canadian government. He had been found in the wilderness, and was taken in by government officials. He eventually became Weapon X, Canada's supersoldier and hopeful national symbol. He possessed several mutant abilities: animal tracking senses, incredible agility and stamina, and most importantly a healing factor that allowed him to quickly recover from even the most fatal wounds. The Weapon X program also laced his bones with adamantium, an unbreakable metal. He also possessed six retractable claws, which were also covered with the metal. Logan eventually grew tired of the Weapon X program, and accepted an offer to join Charles Xavier's X-Men.

Wolverine has made many enemies over the years, including Omega Red and Sabretooth, his archnemesis. He has often been injured in the line of duty, most severely when Magneto pulled the adamantium out of his bones. The metal was later replaced by Apocalypse, but had it not been for his healing factor he would not have lived through either process. Through it all, Wolverine has survived, and remains the heart and soul of the X-Men.
